Together with our Partner, the leading global distributor of industrial solutions and supply chain management services, we invite you to discuss the role of Buyer.

.

Aim of the role:

The Buyer will be responsible for Sourcing & Procuring Engineering, Facility & Manufacturing Equipment Spare Parts and Services. Additionally, the Buyer shall be responsible for negotiating best terms and conditions of purchase (Price, Leadtime, Payment Terms) and for identifying and executing Cost Reduction initiatives. The role is customer facing and will require a significant amount of interaction with the customers maintenance and technical team members. For this reason, a strong understanding of the associated product groups and the Domestic / European Supply Chain will be important.

Scope of responsibilities:

  • Reacts to Purchase Requisitions for Ad-hoc (Spot Buy) and Inventory Controlled items in a timely manner.
  • Sources and Procures Engineering, Facility & Manufacturing Equipment Spare Parts and Services.
  • Places Purchase Orders in the company system.
  • Expedites Delivery of Orders and updates Delivery Promise Dates within the system.
  • Ensures On Time Delivery of Goods through effective supplier monitoring and management.
  • Identifies and Executes Cost Reduction initiatives through negotiating price reductions or through identifying product substitution through formal agreement and approval with the customer.
  • Reports and Tracks Cost Savings within the company system.
  • Resolves non-conforming delivery issues and arranges return of goods for credit or replacement.
  • Resolves Invoice Queries.
  • Ensure company reports are maintained within a timely manner (Weekly basis).

Requirements:

  • Experienced of working within a demanding Manufacturing environment where continuity of production is paramount.
  • Good knowledge of the Engineering / Maintenance and Factory Consumables Supply Chain (Domestic and European).
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of INCOTERMS is an advantage.
  • Articulate, Numerate and System literate.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control processes.
  • Proven ability in the identification and execution of Cost Saving initiatives (Price Reduction, Approved Product Substitution, Product Standardisation etc).
  • Fluency in Polish Language essential. Good level of English Language required.
