Weight and Balance Engineer

.

Location: Poland/remote

.

Purpose: managing all elements associated with assigned tasks including defining weight, balance, and mass properties related to design requirements and customer specification commitments.

.

Duties:

  • designing and analyzing repairs and/or modifications (design changes) on aircraft structures;
  • responsible for estimating, tracking and monitoring weight, center of gravity and geometric properties of design work packages;
  • estimate weight, center of gravity and geometric/mass properties of work packages;
  • prepare and manage weight database and conduct component/aircraft weighing;
  • prepare weight and inertia distribution for loads/aeroelastic/static analyses;
  • determine risks and opportunities related to weight budget;
  • monitor weight and balance parameters of work packages;
  • generate, administer and manage weight control plans on multiple aircraft projects;
  • prepare and release weight and balance analysis reports;
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor"s degree in engineering;
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in related field;
  • must be an accomplished Weight and Balance Engineer or equivalent;
  • a Master"s degree, diploma or certification in relevant field will be preferred;
  • inter-personal and communication skills;
  • attention to details;
  • problem-solving and analytical skills.
