R&D Director

.

The aim of this position is to create an optimal win-win environment that rewards innovation in new products and keeping our success flag one step ahead always in the market.

Duties:

  • To carry out competitors analysis, RM selection, cost competitiveness, 3rd party certifications, training to R&D team members, supporting Marketing & technical services, regulatory, safety, and R&D policy topics as assigned.
  • You will ensure that our client's regulatory, safety and R&D policy positions are successfully represented to inform policy/product development, verification, certification and implementation.
  • You will provide internal stakeholders with strategic regulatory, economical, new proposals and R&D policy perspectives.
  • You will guide and advise senior leadership in selecting issues, establishing priorities and developing products and executing testing (In house & external) policy advocacy plans.
  • You will support the creation of necessary infrastructure/processes for developing the R&D department function.
  • You will influence the development and articulation of the company's position on new products, existing products quality sustainability, regulatory and R&D policies that impact business.
  • You will represent the company in interactions wherever required with external regulatory, political, policy and professional organizations.

    Requirements:

  • Higher education degree (preferably PhD) in chemical engineering or similar faculty.
  • 12+ years of experience in the R&D department.
  • Experience of working in foam/plastics/rubber industry.
  • Fluent English.
  • Willingness to relocate to UAE
