PROJECT: Purchasing Department Manager
Together with our Partner, a large manufacturing company, we invite you to discuss the role of Purchasing Department Manager.
Aim of the role: Supervision over the execution of production and non-production purchases for the internal needs of the manufacturing plant.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Realizing orders in accordance with company policy;
- Cooperation with internal departments to identify purchasing needs;
- Sourcing and qualifying new suppliers;
- Conducting commercial negotiations and concluding agreements with suppliers;
- Managing comprehensive order processes;
- Monitoring order fulfillment and ensuring timely deliveries;
- Conducting market analysis and identifying cost optimization opportunities;
- Supporting budgeting processes and preparing purchasing reports.
Requirements:
- Higher education (preferably in the field of logistics, management, engineering, or economics);
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position;
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) will be an additional asset;
- Language skills: good written and spoken English for communication with suppliers;
- Ability to work in a team and strong interpersonal skills;
- High motivation and results-oriented mindset;
- Analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
