NPD Supervisor - New Product Development Manager

.

OBJECTIVE: Coordination of work and all processes related to project implementation in the field of new launches and new product introductions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with SBU project managers across Europe to develop a new project plan, encompassing all phases and milestones
  • Coordinating and communicating project progress to ensure timely completion, in line with required quality standards and budget constraints
  • Managing a five-person NPD division team
  • Translating specification needs into production and supply chain solutions, including Capex
  • Leading the team in gathering data for preparing and presenting information to senior management
  • Reporting project status and progress to the NPD Manager and SBU Program Manager (Plant Manager)
  • Supervising the tooling supply process, from design conception through production trials and testing, up to full-scale manufacturing
  • Creating budgets and schedules for tooling while collaborating with designers, supply chain engineers, and process engineers

    Requirements:
  • A higher education degree, minimum of an engineering background - preferred fields: mechanical engineering, project management, or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the automotive industry in a matrix organization
  • Proven experience and skills in project management, communication, and multitasking
  • Practical knowledge of standard NPD tools: PFMEA, process flow, control plans, production documentation, APQP
  • A methodological approach based on Lean Management, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement
  • Practical understanding of design and quality requirements for automotive industry clients (1st-tier suppliers)
  • Knowledge of assembly equipment, including die-casting tooling and stamping tooling
  • Strong proficiency in English
  • Familiarity with SAP, MS Project, or other relevant systems
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to take on new challenges with an open and positive problem-solving approach
