Quality Manager

.

Duties:

  • Continuous improvement of quality system to comply with customer and industry quality system requirements.
  • Support the environment and guide the decision-making process that results in collaboration and actions by key stakeholders including customers, manufacturing, research and development.
  • Align organizational and customer goals, and provide leadership in a way that increases and promotes continuous improvement of the company.
  • Be interface with customer quality representatives concerning problems with product quality, assure, and verify that effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support in resolution of customer quality problems.
  • Analyze data and create proposals and action plans to identify future risks and correct negative trends.
  • Track the improvement and initiates countermeasures if progress does not meet expectations.
  • Lead or participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure Quality Standard, customer specific compliance and audit readiness.
  • Identify and reduce cost of poor quality through continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the necessary level of resources are available in to support the workload and have proper training and skill set required for success.
  • Develops and executes long-term progressive strategy to ensure the all functions becomes increasingly proactive in addressing quality performance issues.
  • Lead quality team that promote teamwork, team building, and knowledge sharing among across plant and functions.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives/projects in the plant.
  • Reporting of quality performance of the organization incl. indicate customer satisfaction and the effectiveness of the quality management systems.
  • Active participation and add value to plant management, and establish short and long term plans to improve the quality management system.

    Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in quality roles, including experience as a Plant Quality Manager or Leader in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working quality management standards knowledge of automotive or aviation or railway industry (ISO, FAI, PPAP, SPC, MSA, etc).
  • High level of interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills and capability to influence, coach, mentor across multiple levels of the organization.
